Join Slow Food Boston on Tuesday, October 11th for our fall Slow Food Social! Throughout the year, we will host Slow Food Socials (aka cocktail hour!) at various bars and restaurants around town to encourage Slow Food members and the Boston food community at large to learn more about the Slow Food movement and connect with like-minded folks.

This month's Slow Food Social will be at GrandTen Distilling the first fully functional cocktail bar inside a distillery in Boston. The space is designed to enjoy cocktails directly from the source, or uniquely “still-to-glass”. Cocktails on the menu—both classic and modern—highlight the 11 spirits distilled on site and contain only ingredients produced in the distillery (think homemade syrups, shrubs and tinctures). Complimentary snacks from local purveyors and a cash bar will make for a delicious evening.

Since 2012, GrandTen Distilling been committed to producing spirits that are handcrafted from locally sourced ingredients. From their distinct Wire Works American Gin to their New England-style Medford Rum, they've taken the time to do things the right way and are focused on their craft above all else.

About Slow Food Boston: Slow Food Boston is a local chapter of an international food movement that supports “good, clean, fair food for all." We believe in building communities around the sensory experiences associated with food in order to create and sustain healthier relationships, environments, and citizenry. We seek to celebrate the diversity of food traditions to discover the bonds we share across cultures, continents, and kitchen tables. Every day we harness individual expertise and communal passion to work towards a better for system for all. And at the end of each, we don't think there's anything better than good food and good drinks shared with good friends. Here at Slow Food Boston we work to promote foods grown, produced, and prepared here in Massachusetts and throughout New England. We seek to raise awareness of sustainability issues and to host events that are just plain fun.

Members of Slow Food Boston receive advance notice of events, discounts on tickets to various events throughout the year, and help keep Slow Food Boston (a volunteer-run organization) going! Please consider joining us today!
